Who we are
 

Chelmsford Chinese Gospel Church is a Cantonese church planting ministry of the Chinese Overseas Christian Mission (COCM). Since December 2023, with the support of Colchester Chinese Christian Church, Rev. Stanley Wong, Rev. Helen Wong, together with some  brothers and sisters, have been holding regular worship gatherings in Chelmsford. Services were held once a month throughout 2024 and increased to twice a month in 2025. The church is committed to serving the Chinese community in Chelmsford and the surrounding areas, leading people to Christ and making disciples.

We thank God that in December 2025, the ministry was officially entrusted to COCM, and Chelmsford Chinese Gospel Church was formally established, marking a new chapter in this church planting ministry. In May 2026, Rev. Joe Yip and his wife, Viktoriya, who had faithfully served at the Leicester Chinese Christian Church for four years, joined the ministry team. They now lead the pastoral and outreach work of the church, partnering with the brothers and sisters to build up the church and continue serving the Chinese community in Chelmsford and the surrounding areas.
